Coldplay
Coldplay are a very popular 4 member Rock band that were formed in 1996. They are a band who have obviously been around for many years now and are familiar with making good music videos. They became worldwide famous in the year 2000 with their hit 'Yellow' along with their debut album 'Parachutes' that year. Now in the year 2014, they are one of the most successful rock bands around.
From analysing some of their music videos (new and old) I can see that they have change over time in some ways but in other they have not changed at all.
The first video that I watched by Coldplay was their number one hit success 'Yellow' and that was an eye opener to how they started of setting out their music videos in their early days. The whole of the music video is set in the same location all throughout which was on a beach. It was very slow paced which is one factor that made the first video look simple and easy to do. If you compare it to the videos that they do now, you can tell that they have developed as artists over time. For example, looking at the video to 'A sky full of stars' I can see clearly that it is a lot faster paced. In their first video it looked as though they were a different band as their music has slowly changed as they have developed through the years. If you analyse 'Yellow' and 'Paradise' you can see a massive difference in the types of music.
